Soli Deo Gloria! This Latin phrase, meaning “to God alone be glory,” is how composer Johann Sebastian Bach signed all of his manuscripts. Music’s purpose, especially sacred music, is to glorify God. Here at Saint Agnes, we have many ways for you to be involved in making music and glorifying God on a weekly basis. With five different choirs, including boys and girls as young as first grade and adults who have been singing since they were in first grade, the music ministry leads sung prayer at four Masses each week and for Holy Days and special Feasts.
Each ensemble is described below. Come and discover how you can “Make a jofyul noise unto the Lord!”
