Timothy Lewicki, Director of Music
Timothy Lewicki is a graduate of the Catholic University of America, earning a Master’s Degree in Sacred Music in October 2013. As a student at Westminster Choir College, he had the opportunity to perform with major conductors and orchestras, including Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony and Daniel Harding and the Dresden Staakstapelle. As a member of the Westminster Concert Bell Choir, Mr. Lewicki performed with Josh Groban at the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting and toured with the choir through the mid-West. He studied organ with Ken Cowan and Alan Morrison. After receiving his Bachelor of Music in Sacred Music, magna cum laude, in May 2011 from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, Mr. Lewicki began graduate studies at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. As a graduate student, he studied choral and sacred music with Leo Nestor and pursued liturgical and theological studies with Dominic Serra and Michael Witczak. He has appeared in recital at several churches in Northern Virginia. As an active member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians, Mr. Lewicki currently serves as Newsletter Editor on the Arlington Chapter Board and has served on the Advisory Board of the Trenton, NJ chapter. He is the recipient of scholarship awards from academic and professional organizations, including the MAGI Foundation Scholarship at the Catholic University of America (2011) and the National Association of Pastoral Musicians’s Koinonia Scholarship (2010) and the Steven Warner Scholarship (2012). He has held church music positions in New Jersey and Virginia. Timothy currently serves as Director of Music at Saint Agnes Church in Arlington, VA where he oversees a music program including five singing ensembles and one handbell choir, involving parishioners of all ages. He and his wife reside in Alexandria, VA.

Richard Lolich, Director, Saint Agnes Ensemble
Richard Lolich is a graduate of Georgetown University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Russian Language and Literature and later a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the George Washington University. He began his organ studies with Donald R. McPherson in Portland, Oregon, where he was privileged to participate in a personal organ workshop with the legendary American organist E. Power Biggs. He began as associate organist at Holy Trinity Church Georgetown while a student at Georgetown University and continued in this position for many years. He also sang with the Georgetown University Glee Club under the direction of Paul Hume, the respected music critic for the Washington Post. While a member of the Glee Club, Lolich performed with the National Symphony and sang a special recital for the famous cellist Pablo Casals. During his studies at Georgetown, he also directed the Russian Chorus which sang at many Washington-area Russian cultural events. After graduating from Georgetown, Mr. Lolich was a member of the Washington Oratorio Society (now the Washington Chorus), where he sang under the direction of Robert Shafer. During his tenure with the Oratorio Society, he sang frequently at the Kennedy Center under the direction of several renowned conductors, including Antal Dorati, Sarah Caldwell, and Mstislav Rostropovich. Mr. Lolich is a member of the Arlington Chapter of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. He has held church music positions in Oregon, Washington, D.C. and Virginia. Richard currently serves as Director of the St. Agnes Ensemble at Saint Agnes Church in Arlington, VA where he implements a repertoire drawing on both the traditional and contemporary music traditions of the Catholic Church. As part of this ensemble, he has instituted a program for youth instrumentalists. He resides in Arlington, VA.
